Lollies Everywhere!!

There are all sorts of lollies. Candy canes, chocolate bars, lollipops and more. Lollies can be brown. Lollies can be Yellow. Any other colour it doesn’t matter.

Once you have eaten one you will taste joy and happiness or maybe just yumminess. Whenever I eat one it will always makes me happy. Sometimes they can be sweet or sour but I mostly like them sweet. I love to eat lollies all day.

My favourite type of lollies is chocolate bars because chocolate is my favourite flavour. Chocolate bars, chocolate drinks, chocolate everything. I think about it almost everyday. I will always love chocolate no matter what.

Netbook Reflection 2012

It has been an awesome year. The name of our netbook is Asus. Using a netbook for the second year and have become a professional at using it. I mean nine schools in Glen Innes are using netbooks and have become professionals already. Isn’t that incredible? I think so!

I think that it’s better than using pencil and paper because typing replaces the writing and the screen replaces books. It helps you learn better because you can explore different sites and learn a lot from it. It can help you solve problems like your spelling and all kinds of other things. The netbook also helps you become more cybersmart just like it did to me. Another thing you could do with your netbook is that you can be really creative in the way that you share your learning.

I would really like to change the looks of the netbook, like the size of it and the colour. Making the internet fast will be really helpful because I could maybe finish my work much more faster. Making the laptop turn on faster will be awesome because maybe you might be in a hurry to do something like finish work or even play games! It needs more protection because it is really easy to damage. It would be really cool if it was a touch screen but it’s kinda not because then your screen will be dirty just like that.

I would like to give a big thank you to Mr and Mrs Burt, Neaven and Mrs Telea for having netbooks in this school and for taking care of my netbook during the holidays. I really appreciate you all for fixing the damages as well.

Dogs!!

Dogs can be any colour. They can run jump and play. You could even have dogs as a pet. I have two  pet dogs. Nigger Girl and Bruno.

Bruno is a brown dog. He likes to run jump and play with my brothers, sisters and I. He likes to rip up stuff. Bruno loves to be taken out for a walk so he could only run around without his leash on. It’s kind of annoying when he’s not on his collar because he always runs out to the front and jumps over the fence. After we realise he’s gone he’s just down the road. My brothers, sisters and I have to always chase after him then get him inside.

Nigger girl is black and white. She loves to play with tennis balls. Whenever you through a tennis ball near her she would chase after it and grab it with her mouth. Nigger girl likes to sit on couches and she loves to sniff. If you're outside then she won’t play with any balls because she will mostly be sniffing things. She also likes people rubbing her belly. When she's in a car she likes to stick her head out the window.

The Funniest Moment At Camp!! :D

While we were at camp I had my most funniest moment there.

My team Katz B and I were kayaking to stingray bay. On the way we had no accidents. We went under bridges and over a lot of seaweed. Some people struggled and some people were just fine.

We were playing a game. The aim of the game is for two people to get to each others kayak and who ever wins, well they just win. Who ever losers well the same thing they just lose.

The first people to go was Levi and Anamei. The person who won that was Anamei. Next up was Frankie and Doris. During there race Doris won only because Frankie fell into the water. Now that was my most funniest moment!

The Day My Toy Came Alive!!

This is the story my toy came alive. It started off in kindergarten the day I was turning five. We were playing a game called make your very first wish. I won a toy bear and I called it Honey Girl. The game was called make your very first wish because after you win something you make your very first wish and then someday it will come true. I didn’t believe that wishes can come true so I made a wish anyway. I said in my mind “I wish my toy came alive.” It was home time. All of the Children's parents came in to pick up their kids. As I walked home with my mum, I wondered to myself huh that was a dumb game to play but at least I won something. As the sun started to go down, I went to sleep. As the sun started I felt something moving next to me. Then BAAAAAM!! That's the day my toy came alive. I screamed “AHHHHHHHHHH” but the bear said “its all right I won’t hurt you.” That's when I believed in wishes. My bear and I told each other information about ourselves. We played and played until we got tired. I kept her forever until the day ends because here's something I forgot to mention, the wish only last for a day so we had all the fun we could have until the day ended. She turned back into an ordinary bear and even though she wasn’t alive I still kept her. !!!THE END!!!

Toy Story - My First Bear

On the first day of term 4, room 16 had to draw their favourite toy, their first toy or their dream toy.

I decided to draw my first toy because that's the only toy I remember having. Fairy bear was what I called it because it had wings and its a bear. My bear was the only bear called that because my bear was different to all the others.

I started off with the bears body and then the wings. For my background I drew a bright orange sun, a colourful rainbow,a cloud for the bear to stand on and a bright blue sky. Decorating my picture was the second to last thing I did but colouring my drawing was the lucky last thing I did.

Finally I showed Mr Somerville my fairy bear. The next day all of room 16 pictures were up on the wall by our topic name Toy Story.

My Awesome Holiday

Hi my names Quziyah and this is my story about my holidays. During last week on Monday Katrina and I had a girls night out. We went to the Sylvia Park movie's. Then on Tuesday we had another girls night out but this time we went to Rainbow-end. On Monday Katrina and I went to the Sylvia park movie's. We had $50 each and the total all up was $100. First we bought a large pop corn, 2 fizzy drinks, maltesers and 2 packet of chips. We watched Step Up 4 and it was awesome. Katrina and I went hard out on the food then made a big mess. Our favourite bit was when the female hopped on the table and started dancing. Our eyes hurt from watching the screen all day. On Tuesday Katrina and I had another girls night out but this time we went to Rainbow-end and it was amazing. Rides and a lot of things. Before we went in we had a massive feed. It was about time we went inside because I haven’t been there in a long time. My favourite ride was the roller coaster. Katrina and I went back home dreaming about how fun our two days were.

My Favorite Olympic Champion

Sacha Jones is a professional Australian tennis player. She was born on the 8th of November 1990. Sacha should be about twenty one years old. She was originally from New Zealand.

Sacha Jones started off at the ASB classic in Auckland New Zealand as a wildcard where she lost her first round match to Elena Baltacha in three tight sets. This year she lost to Shahar Peer in round two.

I wish someday I could be an awesome Olympic champion just like her.

My Tennis Voice Over

 Tennis is an Olympic sport. One of my dreams is to become an Olympic champion. My favorite tennis player is Sacha Jones. The gear you need is a tennis racket and ball, a net and good sports clothing. Take lessons and try your best. Practice a lot at the netball courts or find  a big space to play on. If your dream is to become an Olympic champion like Sacha Jones then don’t give up and I’m sure you’ll live your dream.

Worlds BIGGEST Sneeze!

Ooooh! Here comes another one... AAAH. Oh! False alarm! ahh that's better. ACHOOO!!! Seriously! I blew the house up again.

What am I going to do? I know I’ll go see a doctor.TAAX AAH ACHOOO!!! Seriously! Now I missed the taxi and now I have to walk. One hour later! Finally I made it. Hello there, I’m doctor Chee. Come on then. Don’t want to keep you waiting. Is your office far. I don’t think I can take another step. No its not that far. Its just down the hall. Oh! Thank God. Rightio!!! What seems to be the problem. Well, you see doctor I have the AAH ACHOO!!! excuse me. The worlds biggest sneeze and wherever I go I always seem to blow things up. Well little one there is a simple solution to this problem. All you have to do is cover your mouth. Ok then thanks doctor.

AHHH!!! It’s Little Miss Sneezy coming out of the doctors. I wonder wait she’s up too? RUN AWAY!!! AHHHHHhhhhh!!! AAH achoo. YAY! I remembered to cover my mouth. See little one that wasn’t so bad. Yeah! Thanks again doc. Hey where did everybody go?

Hey As AAH Fire in the hole! achooo!!! Hey Asena. Hey Little Miss Sneezy, did you go see the doctor or did you figure out how to stop blowing up things all by yourself? At least somebody noticed. I went to go see the doctor. He’s a natural. How did you solve the problem? Umm..... He told me to cover my mouth. Simple aye! ACHOOO!!! Oh no! Now I’ve got the worlds biggest sneeze. What was that thing that the doctor told you to do?

My Best Friend

 Hi my names Quziyah and I'm going to tell you about my best friend Asena. We've been best friends for about seven years and after school we always play at the park or sometimes go to the library. We sit next to each other every day at school. Were in the same maths and reading group too. We enjoy each others company a lot and most times we walk home together. Asena and I laugh a lot because its very easy to make each other laugh. During class we help each other a lot because thats how we roll.

The Movie

Guess what I did in the weekends? I went to the movies at Sylvia Park.

In the weekend I went to the movies. When I was making my way to the movies I saw a lot of people as I look down. Going past shops with stuff in it. Me peeking to see what kind of things I want.

When I walked through the automatic doors, I got greeted by the yummy smell of popcorn and people. I went to go see Step up 4 and it was amazing. As soon as I walked into the movie theater the movie starting.

I watched it until the end. When the movie ended I was the first person out. My favorite part was when they danced on the cars. I sure that was everyone's favorite part too.  When it was getting late it was time to go home, have a feed and go to sleep.

My Picaso Rockstar

This is my picasso art work that I drew. We had to colour it in with pastles. As you can see I have coloured it in different shapes. I hope you like it.

Me as an Olympic star!!

Is your dream to become an Olympic star? Well, this is me as a boxer. As you could see I have changed the colours of my clothes and  my hair. I have added some purple and blur gloves. The background that I have drawled isn't my best but it's good enough. Hope You Like It!!

The Art Gallery

Out of all the pictures at the Art Gallery, I picked this picture. The rezone why I picked this picture is because that it looks realistic and it looks like that an real artist drew it. The boy that drew this picture was Kaiden. I didn't want a picture that is drawn by my friends, I wanted a picture that looks amazing and was done creatively.

Terrifying snake.

It was dark time and all you could see was pitch black. We heard noises in the basement, so we went down to see what it was. The light was still on but all of a sudden it just switched off. Something brushed up against Raeleen’s foot and her surprise turned to horror as she looked down and saw a big ugly scary snake.

Raeleen ran as fast as she could but unfortunately it wasn’t fast enough. It caught her and tied its body around her body. It squashed all Raeleen’s bones and ate her all up. I ran away as fast as I could and just in time I got away from the snake. It was really big and ugly, so that became my most terrifying day. As the days went past I couldn’t stop thinking about that one most scary day.

I went to go talk to my friend Asena. I saw her shopping in the mall. I shouted “Asena, I have to talk to you.” She stopped and said “Hi Quziyah, how are you today?” I replied “Terrified of course!” So I explained to her about that dark scary night and so it went on. Then it was the end. She didn’t believe me so I told her that it was just a made up story.

I tripped up and bangged my head into a pole. I got up with a little help from Asena. I forgot all about that night and just started shopping with Asena at the mall and so from that day on, I never had to worry about that Terrifying snake any more.

What I like about my teacher!

Mr Somerville lets us have free when we have worked really hard. He is a funny crazy person. He has black curly hair and he is really tall. Whenever we make him grumpy, his grumpiness goes away really fast. He controls us well and he doesn’t make us have a lot of detentions.

Mr. S isn’t mean and he loves us as his students. I think that we are kind of like his children. He takes care of us really nicely and that’s one of the things that I like about him. When he sought of gets angry, he calls us punks, but its really funny!

Mr Somerville is also weird at all times. He sometimes acts like a girl by talking like one. Mr. S lets us have free time almost every day. The other thing that I like about Mr S is that he is my teacher!

Aussie Rules

This term we have been learning a sport. We don’t usually play this game in our country. It’s called Aussie Rules.

This term we have been playing Aussie Rules. Our coaches were sandwich and Initia. When they started to talk us through what were doing I thought that they were really nice because some people who teach us something rush us through it.

The first skill we did was drop punt. The drop punt is when you pretend that you have a big piece of mud on your foot. Then you drop the ball onto your foot and flick off the mud.

After the drop punt, we learn t how to do a hand pass. We had to be in a group of three. I was with Katrina and Porscha. There was a rhyme to the hand pass. It was lases away from faces. I practice the pass with my friends and I thought that I did a good job.

My Weekend

Guess what we did in the weekend? We went to the market in Otara.

In the weekend my Aunt and I went to the market in Otara. Most Saturdays we go there. As soon as we got to the market, I was very hungry. We looked around and didn’t find anything we wanted.

My Aunt gave me $20 to buy anything I wanted to. I spent my money on food. I brought chips and kebabs. I only had $15 left.

When we were done looking around, we went to the Internet cafe. Sadly it was full so we went home. The only thing I could do was to play on the X-box. As soon as I knew it, it was night time. For dinner we had nachos and mince. It was delicious. It was bedtime. Just before bedtime I had a shower so then it was bedtime.

ART ALIVE

ART ALIVE

When I look at art, it really inspires me. Sometimes it even distracts me from what I’m doing. I love art because it is an artist's work and if you make fun of it, people might make fun of your work. I think that old art works are expensive because it’s a little like gold. Art can sometimes be weird but thats what makes art so interesting.

When I try hard to do my artwork, I think that I do a good job. Every time I smuge it, I think that it’s ok. When I grow up, I want to be an artist because I want my drive way to have a hole painted on it so people could realize how good I am if I was a real artist. If you see my sister and my drawers then it would be filled of stationary because we like to draw.

If I was an artist then my walls will be filled with drawings. I would draw things about me and things I love with my family on a big piece of paper. My favourite art work is the Mona Lisa art work because it is so cool and it looks real. My other favourite art is the art video’s on our Room 16 site.

My Holiday Highlight

Guess what I did in the holidays? I went to Reece Mastin’s concert at the Vector Arena.

In the holidays Emily, Stephanie, her mum and I went to Reece Mastin’s concert. The doors didn’t open until 7:00pm so we waited about one in a half an hour. The doors opened and we went up the steps to our seats. We really couldn’t find our seats but we did. I was sitting in seat 799 which was at the back.

As soon as Reece Mastin sang his songs, everyone was screaming. I wasn’t screaming because I was tired. While he was singing, we started to play I Spy because we were bored. We took photo’s until it was time to go.

It was almost midnight and we were on our way home. When we jump onto the train, again we played I Spy. We were finally at Glen Innes. There were hardly no people walking around. As soon as I got home my aunt was crashed out on the couch. I went to bed and thought how would I act if I wasn’t so bored?

My Swimming Experience

Guess what we’ve been up to this week? Room sixteen has been at the Glen Inness pools swimming pools.

This week we’ve been swimming. Usually we go after lunchtime but this time it was a little different because we went at 11:30. On our way we walked really slowly but Mr S told us to hurry up. We were learning how to swim because we have another camp at the end of the year and if we don’t know how to swim then we might drown.

Once we were at the pools, I quickly went to the changing room and got change. I was a bit nervous when I came out because it was my first time swimming this week. I went to line up and Mr S said “Who is new to swimming?” That means if you just started swimming today then we have to jump in the water first.

As soon as I hopped into the pool, the water was warm and cozy. The activity’s we did was floating, front stroke and front stroke with the board. My favourite activity was the front stroke without the board because it was just fun. At the end of our swimming lessons, it was a bummer because it was so cold even if we go outside. It has been so fun this week because we've been swimming.

My Pirate story

Arr, my name is Captian 100 and were sailing on our huge ship for an adventure. Our ship is called the Good Pirates. Can you guess what were searching for? Arr treasure. We lost six of our strongest pirates when we were in a storm last night. The waves were so strong that we almost crashed into the rocks. Now we only have four of our strongest pirate.

Pirate look out shouts, "ARR WE HAVE COPMANY, THE ANGRY PIRATES ARE HERE". We all get ready for the fight. "FIRE THE BOMBS," I yell. We fire the bombs and they hit the Angry Pirates ship in a big CRASH. The boat almost tipped over. They sail away with a grumpy face. "I'LL GET YOU AND YOUR CREW NEXT TIME" Captain Angry face say's. The End

Ben Carson

On Tuesday year 5 to year 8 went on a trip to the Telstra clear event centre to meet the famous Doctor Ben Carson.

First we traveled on the bus to the Telstra clear event centre. On the way we say lots of people and cars go by. When we were almost there we all saw Rainbow-end. No body was there because I think that it was closed.

We finally arrived to the Telstra clear event centre and there was lots of schools there to meet Doctor Ben Carson. We waited and waited until we were told to go in-side.

When we went in-side the hall, we sat down on the chairs. I was sitting next to Dhara. We counted how many schools there were in the hall. There was about twenty something schools there. After that we started to sing the Duffy song.

A guy kept on talking about a really funny story, but I think that it was just a made up story from his imagination. It was about him in the library when all of a sudden a loud voice appeared. When went towards that loud voice, it was a really pretty girl. That was all I remembered from his made up story.

Once he was snapped out of his imagination, he introduced us to Doctor Ben Carson. He is a really famous person. When he was little he was acting in movies and now he has grown up into a real man.

When Doctor Ben Carson was finished talking about him-self, we lastly sang the Duffy song once again. It was time to go back to school. It was fun to see Doctor Ben Carson. My favourite thing there was traveling there on the bus.

My Fun Weekend

Guess what I did in the weekend? Well in the weekend it was a hot day. My dad and my brother Jaedyn came over. They biked from Otahuhu to Glen Iness.

Once they came over, we went to my uncle’s house but he wasn’t home so we went back home. My dad and I went to the beach for a ride around the tracks. This lady had three dogs and they all went into the bushes so we helped her to get her dogs back up.

As we were going back home we saw my uncle riding on his bike. We saw a pile of stuff that was for free. We grabbed some stuff and took them back home.

My dad and brother had to leave. It was fun having them over for the day. My favourite part was when my dad and I went to the beach on the bikes.
