My favorite films

My first favorite movie was the Billy T movie by Pt England school room fifteen. The thing that I liked about it was the bit when Brodie was the weather lady. It came was funny when the wig fell off his head and the fell off the wall. As Justin Beiberon it didn’t even look like him. As The lazy song came on I started to laugh.

My second favorite movie was the Zombie attack by Tamaki Collage. The faces looked real with the blood on it. My favorite part was the bit when the teacher was eating his hand. It was scary when the dead was rising. I found out that they were dancing in G.I.

My Third favorite movie was Count on me by Pt England school room 20. I like the song and the bit when the three girls came down the slide and the song said one, two, three. It matched the song. It was so talented that everyone in my class started two sing. Even though some of they didn’t know the song.

Immersion

Guess what spectacular morning we all had?

We are starting a new topic and a new term. Our special topic name is Outta this World. It's about the dark sparkling space.

As I walked through the hall doors I thought that all of the teachers looked cool in there funky costumes. When I sat down Mr Jacobson showed the school pictures of the planets. They were Earth, Sun, Pluto, Mars, Jupiter, Venus and Neptune.

All of the teachers had to do a performance or a video. Team 1 had a question about the sun. They painted the sun on a big paper and made a happy yellow faced sun.

Team 2 did an amazing rapping robot dance. They had a black cardboard box on there head with a light on it. The actors were all girls.
Team 3 was Mrs Barks talking all about gravity. When gravity is around then it will push you onto earth. If there was no gravity then you will be floating in the air.

I am so looking forward to know this question. How can we see the moon, sun and stars from earth because they are in space and we can’t see the other planets?

Aussie Rules

Guess what amazing day room fifteen had? Well, we have been learning the skills required to play Aussie Rules. The equipment you need is a small stitched rugby ball, four goal posts and a oval rugby field. The rugby ball is a special essential because you can’t play Aussie Rules without a ball. You might find this game quite awkward. It will be unexpected because it is an unknown game. We learnt the drop punt, high mark and other passes. When you are doing a bounce pass it is unpredictable because you don’t know what direction it will bounce towards. My favorite thing I really enjoyed was every thing because it was all different to other sports. I hope next year we can play Aussie Rules again.

Mesmerising Australia

It’s only a short hop skip and a jump across the Tasman Sea to Australia, but there is a world of different in what you will find there.

Australia has a bigger population than New Zealand. The indigenous people of Australia is called Aborigine’s.

There are a variety of unique animals in Australia. Kangaroos are native to Australia and koala’s and platypus are some other main animals.

The climate in Australia is predominantly arid which means dry and hot. But it is different on the coast because it is tropical and moist.

So if you are fortunate enough to make the journey, you will need to allow plenty of time to explore all that Australia has to offer.

All Blacks vs Tonga

Guess what is happening this Friday?
Well, the rugby world cup 2011 starts. It is Tonga vs my favorite team the ALL BLACKS. My question is who's gonna win, who's gonna lose and is it gonna be a draw. I believe that the All Black's are gonna win. I hope that the score will be 100 to nil to us.

Netball lessons

WOW!
Guess what room fifteen did?

Well, on Thursday afternoons we went to the courts to practise netball with a lady called Emma. She was the lady who was going to teach us some netball skills. First we all got into a line and Emma called out numbers. Number one’s had to line up in one line by the toilet's, then number two’s had to line up opposite us. The person in front of you was your partner and my partner was James.

We all started with chest passing. Chest passing is the main pass in netball. After that room fifteen did bounce passing. Bounce pass is a pass when you have to bounce the ball close to your teams feet because their partner might come out of no where and grab it. I think we did a high pass after that. A high pass is a high pass when you have to throw the ball.

After all our skills lessons I feel now that I am a better netball player. This has helped me for when I represent the school on a Thursday night at the Auckland Netball Courts in Morrin Road.

Swimming

WOW! Guess what we did for two weeks? Well room fifteen and seventeen went to the Glen Innes pools.
Once we walked through the doors I heard a rustling of plastic bags. First I sat down on the side bench and saw people going for a shower. We went there to learn how to swim. The teachers were Mr Marks and Miss Garden. I saw people blowing bubbles.
What I had to do was to take photos and Gianna had to take a short film of everyone for their blogs. When people got out of the pools they were shivering. I took a lot of photos of the girls. At the end we all walked back to school. I saw room fifteen hanging their clothes out to dry.

Building tall towers.

WOW!!! Guess what we did this term? This term room fourteen and fifteen had a challenge to see who could build the tallest tower. The teachers put both of the classes into two teams.

The first class I went to was room 14. But when I was in room 15, we had a challenge to see who could build the tallest tower. In my group the winners were Lukis, Minhaj, Kyal, Zyrin and Timoteo. The people in my group were Mele, Hope and Doris.

Doris and I did the sellotape. Hope and Mele did the paper. They rolled up the paper. Then they sellotaped it onto the other piece of paper. The girls rolled up some more paper and tried to make the tallest tower they could. We only got 20 minutes to build the tower.

At the end of the challenge we came last. Jorja said that her one died. After that it was lunch time. Finally it was time to eat. That was tiring.

Camp

Guess what I did last week on Wednesday?
I went to our year 5 and 6 camp.

The first thing we did was going to swimarama. When we got there, I mostly played with Taeshell and Asena because they were two of my best friends. I went inside the hydroslide and it was so dark and twirly on the outside.
It was finally time to go, so the year 5’s and 6’s sat inside the bus and tiredly traviled back to school. When it was dark we got into our tents to sleep. The teachers came around our tents to see if we were asleep and we weren’t allowed to go to the toilet before 7am.
The next day we had groups and the groups names were Super Chargers, Responstars, Responsible Rockets and my group True Crew. In the mornings we all did jump jam for fitness. On the secound to last night, we had to perform our dance. Our song was Rihanna Who’s that chick. The next day, it was a boring day because it was time to pack and leave.

Baseball

When we were on our way to play baseball we were so excited that we wanted to play straight away without practicing. When I sat down I saw Cola holding a bag with all the gear you need to play baseball with. Cola is a professional baseball player.

My team was first at batting. It was my turn to bat and I was nervous because I thought that I wasn’t going to get a home run but I did. After I ran I felt happy as well.

When a boy in my class hit the ball really far I caught it and he was out. Mr Marks told me to go to have an interview with Cola, Miss M and Mr Marks. Ane and I ran back and forward because Timotio and Brodie-Jack kept on throwing the ball to each other to make us out but we both made it.
