This is what my partner Ana & I have been working on this morning. Independent & Dependent clauses. Independent is a clause that could be on its own but where there's dependent clause it can't be on its own it needs help. Please watch the following movie & enjoy(:

About Diabetes(:

There are 3 types of diabetes called type 1, type 2 and the pregnancy one but today we’re only going to talk about type 1 and type 2.  Diabetes is a diagnosed when a person has too much glucose in the blood. It happens because the pancreas can’t make enough insulin. Glucose is previously stored in the liver.

The main similarities between type 1 and type 2 diabetes are that if you have either diseases, they both cause higher levels. I think they can both cause serious problems like a heart attack, stroke, blindness, kidney failure and nerve damage. I will just say this but they're obviously diabetes.

The difference between both diseases are that if you have type 1 diabetes you have for the rest of your life and have to cope with it. You have to take at least 4 injections a day. Now moving on to type 2. The pancreas gets more sluggish over time and you have to take medications recently or you will die.

Diabetics manage their illness by getting daily physical activity, eating a healthy diet and taking your medication. Looking after your body and keeping it healthy is probably the answer.

If you have a poor diet, if you’re overweight or a lack of exercise meaning like you’re lazy then you will probably get type 2 diabetes. Now family history. If like your grandparents or parents have diabetes when they were born you could have a better chance of getting type 2.

The main health risks are Heart attack, blindness, strokes, kidney failure and poor circulation. Poor circulation means that limbs can die.

The Unexpected Broken Ankle!

Once upon a time there was an athletic boy called Jack who was playing touch outside with his friends.

Everyday he would train and train with his father John who was a professional.

But one day the unthinkable happened. Whilst chased his dad around the field, the boy fell into a small hole.

Staying there would mean he wouldn't have to chase his dad, so he decided to stay low and avoid his father. All of a sudden he found a rabbit that could lead him to food. (Despite his ankle)

Hopping away into a dark foggy mist, he watched the rabbit.

Because of that he was naughty and failed it.

Until finally after he followed the rabbit, he found himself back at the field, without a broken ankle. How mysterious......

Ever since that day he learnt a valuable lesson.

The moral of the story is not to train so hard. Having a break doesn't hurt.

Sponge-Bob Sqare-Pants & Patrick Star!

One nice sunny day SpongeBob and his best friend Patrick were at their favorite beach - Goo-Lagoon.

“WOOOO!” Spongebob yelled as he hit a big wave. “Ooooooo” Patrick booed, thinking to himself that he has a solution to the problem of falling off the surfboard. Grabbing his glue from his invisible pocket, Patrick poured it onto his feet to stick himself tightly to his board.  “Apply the sauce.” he exclaimed.

He hopped into the water and started to surf on the humongous waves. “I will not be separated from this surfboard.” “ROCK!” Patrick shouted with frightness. He knew he was heading for a rock. “Separate, Separate.” His arms were flapping wildly and his eyes bugged out. CRAAAAAAAAASSH!!! SpongeBob's friends body ripped in half.

Patrick’s skeleton flew in the air and landed on his head in the soft white sand. His pink skin washed up on shore to where the skeleton was. The skeleton spoke to the skin. “I like your sandals.” As the broken surfboard looked like sandals. The pink skin replied “Thanks, we’re inseparable.”

   

Dory & Marlin - Finding Nemo

Deep down in the calm blue sea where all the coral was, there lived two different kinds of fishes. Dory who was always happy and Marlin who was very grumpy - because Dory kept on annoying him.

Marlin sat on a rock that was poking out, looking down into a dark hole where they had lost a pair of goggles. Feeling sad about losing something that could lead him to where his son was, Marlin was about to cry.

“Hey Mr Grumpy Gills” Dory says in a weird voice. “When life gets you down you know what you gotta do?” She questioned him. “I don’t want to know what you gotta do” Marlin replied frantically.

“Just keep swimming, just keep swimming, just keep swimming, swimming, swimming” Dory sang cheerfully. The fish continued singing in a high voice.

Down, down and down they swam as Dory was pulling Marlin by the fin into the black hole. He was trying to stop his friend from singing.  The clown fish got annoyed and shouted with anger “See now I'm gonna get stuck with that song now its in my head.” “Sorry!” The happy 

fish says.

Easter Celebration!

Many people celebrate Easter by eating chocolate Easter eggs. Well instead of thinking about eating all day, have you ever thought about why we celebrate Easter? I have just read a site which tells me a lot about Easter.


Finding out that the egg symbolizes rebirth and new life is pretty awesome. Easter has been celebrated all over the country for many years. Different countries have their own ways of celebrating like the Romans celebrate the Easter season by playing games and giving chocolate eggs as prizes. Originally Easter eggs were painted with bright colours to represent Spring.

100 Words!

Roaming around in Girlsland with my cute, young sister Megan I was hoping to find her favourite ride - The Girly Girl Cars. Searching and finding, she was about to cry. “YAAAY!” she yelled. You know what that means, she had found it. Running to her favourite car Pinky, she was so excited because pink is her favourite colour. “Buckle your seatbelts and enjoy the ride!” a weird voice said. Up, down, side to side. Having fun for a couple of minutes., the car suddenly stopped. “What happened?” I said. No one replied as everyone on the ride was frightened.

The Black Hole!!!

Have you ever wanted anything you couldn't afford? Around midnight as Benson Wenson was finishing off his job he accidently printed out a paper which had a big black 

dot on it. The bank was his one and only job. With luck on his side he could afford anything with the help of a magic black portal. 1 am the clock struck and he finally discovered that anything could go threw the hole and will make that object go onto the other side. Stealing the bosses savings he thought in his head. Sadly Benson also thought about being in serious trouble by his boss. Special amount of cash he stole but unfortunately he got caught by his boss just like he thought. In his head he said "What a pity.” Never discover something that will make you a criminal.

My Mysterious Narrative!

If you discovered a mysterious black portal in the middle of the forest would you create an adventure or would you freak out and run? Well let me tell you a similar story.

One day there was a little boy called Jack. He was seven years of age and loved to explore. Jack’s mother Rosie loves to cook and his dad Mike loves to hunt down animals for their dinner. Oh, and one thing I forgot to mention was that they all lived in the woods so that kind of explains the hunting down animal thing. 

Anyway, as Jack’s parents were busy, the little boy went out to explore the woods. As he was using his magnifying glass, POOF! He fell into a portal and disappeared into space. He freaked out and yelled “AHHHHHHHHHHHH!” He closed his eyes and wish to go back home. POOF! Instead of going back home he went back out of the portal to where the black hole was. 

Now he finally discovered something extremely big. There is two things he learnt. Number 1, remember to watch where you’re going. Number 2, only if you go through the portal and if you end up in space you can actually make any wish you want. 

So it is now like two ye ars later and Jack is now nine years old. Jack went back into the portal and wanted to wish a lot of things. There was a sign that said “Greetings, you maybe wondering what this place is called. Well, its called the secretes of space. Please feel free to make three wishes but, remember that you will only get three wishes in your whole entire life.” 

Jack already made one wish so now he could make two other wishes. He said “I wish my family and I lived in a big house with a pool in the back yard and I wish that we were the richest people in the world. His wishes came true. Jack was so happy. 

The kid was now in serious trouble. He just realised that he couldn't get back home now that he used up all three wishes. He yelled as loud as he could and waited for help. Rosie and Mike didn’t know where their son was so they didn’t really mind because his parents knew that he would come back but, would he this time? 

Jack got stuck in the portal for the rest of his life. Well thats what he thought. His stomach rumbled. Hungry and so thirsty. “I should've never come to the secrets of space” he whispered. The secretes of space heard him and felt sorry for him. Space flashed him out and he ran back home. Jack was now rich. YAY!

Beach!

 

POOF! WOW! I’ve always wanted to see what it was like in my brain. As a memory started to come towards me I ducked as fast as I could and looked back. Hey, I remember that time when I was born. Woooh! Is that what I really looked like? Look thats the time I met Ana and thats the time I went to the beach. Thats what I should do, go to the beach. I think its time for me to go now. POOF! As I came out of my brain it was Saturday already.

I called Ana and my other friend Annliz. I said to them “Hey, its me Quziyah. Do you girls wanna go to mission bay today?” At the same time both of my friends shouted “YES!” “Ok, see you there bye.” “Bye.” I hung up and packed my togs, a towel, a brush and sunscreen into my school bag. I got $30 out of my piggy bank and took the bus to Mission bay.

As I traveled there on the bus I saw a lot of people walking back home from the beach and people walking to the beach. I got off the bus and and saw Ana waving to me across the road. I used the crossing to cross to Ana. Annliz arrived on the bus to and she used the crossing. We all ran to the sand and dropped our bags. We walked to the changing rooms and got changed into our togs. Then ran to the water. We started splashing the water into each others faces. A stranger yelled “SHARK!” Everybody ran out of the water and took the bus home.

Me and the girls stayed at the beach and walked across the road. We went to Mcdonalds and had some food. As the sky started to get dark we bused back to Glen Innes. Into my room I went and snuggled into my bed. Just as I knew it the day ended.

Changing Directions!

Lollipop Moment!

This morning we watched a very interesting movie about a man talking about a lollipop moment that changed a woman's life. A lollipop moment is a moment when someone does something for you or you do something for them that could make them happy. Having a lollipop moment can’t just change someone elses life but can also change your’s. Even though you did something for someone else you could also feel very special for doing something kind. I remember one time having a lollipop moment with my family. You could help mum with the dishes or help dad with the lawn. Even with the smallest thing you could do it will still affect them. Have you ever had a lollipop moment?

Lollies Everywhere!!

There are all sorts of lollies. Candy canes, chocolate bars, lollipops and more. Lollies can be brown. Lollies can be Yellow. Any other colour it doesn’t matter.

Once you have eaten one you will taste joy and happiness or maybe just yumminess. Whenever I eat one it will always makes me happy. Sometimes they can be sweet or sour but I mostly like them sweet. I love to eat lollies all day.

My favourite type of lollies is chocolate bars because chocolate is my favourite flavour. Chocolate bars, chocolate drinks, chocolate everything. I think about it almost everyday. I will always love chocolate no matter what.

Netbook Reflection 2012

It has been an awesome year. The name of our netbook is Asus. Using a netbook for the second year and have become a professional at using it. I mean nine schools in Glen Innes are using netbooks and have become professionals already. Isn’t that incredible? I think so!

I think that it’s better than using pencil and paper because typing replaces the writing and the screen replaces books. It helps you learn better because you can explore different sites and learn a lot from it. It can help you solve problems like your spelling and all kinds of other things. The netbook also helps you become more cybersmart just like it did to me. Another thing you could do with your netbook is that you can be really creative in the way that you share your learning.

I would really like to change the looks of the netbook, like the size of it and the colour. Making the internet fast will be really helpful because I could maybe finish my work much more faster. Making the laptop turn on faster will be awesome because maybe you might be in a hurry to do something like finish work or even play games! It needs more protection because it is really easy to damage. It would be really cool if it was a touch screen but it’s kinda not because then your screen will be dirty just like that.

I would like to give a big thank you to Mr and Mrs Burt, Neaven and Mrs Telea for having netbooks in this school and for taking care of my netbook during the holidays. I really appreciate you all for fixing the damages as well.

Dogs!!

Dogs can be any colour. They can run jump and play. You could even have dogs as a pet. I have two  pet dogs. Nigger Girl and Bruno.

Bruno is a brown dog. He likes to run jump and play with my brothers, sisters and I. He likes to rip up stuff. Bruno loves to be taken out for a walk so he could only run around without his leash on. It’s kind of annoying when he’s not on his collar because he always runs out to the front and jumps over the fence. After we realise he’s gone he’s just down the road. My brothers, sisters and I have to always chase after him then get him inside.

Nigger girl is black and white. She loves to play with tennis balls. Whenever you through a tennis ball near her she would chase after it and grab it with her mouth. Nigger girl likes to sit on couches and she loves to sniff. If you're outside then she won’t play with any balls because she will mostly be sniffing things. She also likes people rubbing her belly. When she's in a car she likes to stick her head out the window.

My Favorite Olympic Champion

Sacha Jones is a professional Australian tennis player. She was born on the 8th of November 1990. Sacha should be about twenty one years old. She was originally from New Zealand.

Sacha Jones started off at the ASB classic in Auckland New Zealand as a wildcard where she lost her first round match to Elena Baltacha in three tight sets. This year she lost to Shahar Peer in round two.

I wish someday I could be an awesome Olympic champion just like her.

My Tennis Voice Over

 Tennis is an Olympic sport. One of my dreams is to become an Olympic champion. My favorite tennis player is Sacha Jones. The gear you need is a tennis racket and ball, a net and good sports clothing. Take lessons and try your best. Practice a lot at the netball courts or find  a big space to play on. If your dream is to become an Olympic champion like Sacha Jones then don’t give up and I’m sure you’ll live your dream.

Worlds BIGGEST Sneeze!

Ooooh! Here comes another one... AAAH. Oh! False alarm! ahh that's better. ACHOOO!!! Seriously! I blew the house up again.

What am I going to do? I know I’ll go see a doctor.TAAX AAH ACHOOO!!! Seriously! Now I missed the taxi and now I have to walk. One hour later! Finally I made it. Hello there, I’m doctor Chee. Come on then. Don’t want to keep you waiting. Is your office far. I don’t think I can take another step. No its not that far. Its just down the hall. Oh! Thank God. Rightio!!! What seems to be the problem. Well, you see doctor I have the AAH ACHOO!!! excuse me. The worlds biggest sneeze and wherever I go I always seem to blow things up. Well little one there is a simple solution to this problem. All you have to do is cover your mouth. Ok then thanks doctor.

AHHH!!! It’s Little Miss Sneezy coming out of the doctors. I wonder wait she’s up too? RUN AWAY!!! AHHHHHhhhhh!!! AAH achoo. YAY! I remembered to cover my mouth. See little one that wasn’t so bad. Yeah! Thanks again doc. Hey where did everybody go?

Hey As AAH Fire in the hole! achooo!!! Hey Asena. Hey Little Miss Sneezy, did you go see the doctor or did you figure out how to stop blowing up things all by yourself? At least somebody noticed. I went to go see the doctor. He’s a natural. How did you solve the problem? Umm..... He told me to cover my mouth. Simple aye! ACHOOO!!! Oh no! Now I’ve got the worlds biggest sneeze. What was that thing that the doctor told you to do?
